On the obverse of the coin, beneath the Singapore Coat of Arms lies a dual latent picture depicting Mr. Lee's birth year (1923) when observed from one angle and his 100th birthday (2023) from observed from another.
Interesting fact
The Lee Kuan Yew coin was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, who played a key role in the country's independence and development. The coin features an image of Lee Kuan Yew on the obverse and the Singapore coat of arms on the reverse. It was minted in a limited quantity of 20,000 pieces and was sold out quickly due to high demand.
