The howl of a wolf pack is a sound that makes even the bravest of us shudder. Yet, in all of Canada's written history, there is not one incident of a person being killed by a wolf. Canada has the second largest wolf population in the world, estimated at 50,000 to 60,000 individuals. For centuries, this powerful, resilient and mysterious creature has lived in the wild in northern and western Canada and around the Great Lakes, singing its call in phase with the moon.
