Produced in ultra high relief with the highest point of the coin standing 4.5-5.0 mm above the main face of the coin. The coin design is shown as though an aerial photograph has been taken with the surface of the coin left uneven to look as though the Great Pyramids are standing on the sand dunes of the desert. Sand that was collected by Taya Pobjoy, Manufacturing Director of the Pobjoy Mint, from the site of the Great Pyramids has been encapsulated into the coin.
