The Sigismund Bell, which is featured on the 2010 $10 Silver Coin from Niue, is one of the largest and heaviest coins in the world, with a diameter of 124.4g and a diameter of 65 mm. It is named after King Sigismund III of Poland, who commissioned the bell in the early 16th century. The bell was originally cast in 1520 but was never rung and was eventually lost for centuries. It was rediscovered in the 19th century and is now housed in the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wawel, Poland. The coin's design features a detailed image of the bell, along with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
