This coin was minted in 2003, but from the moment it was conceived and beaten, inflation made her totally obsolete. It has therefore not been in circulation at that time. In August 2008 Zimbabwe has revalued its currency for the second time by removing 10 zeros. As part of this reassessment, this piece in 2003 ($ 100,000,000,000 a value of the old currency) could finally be used.
These parts, however, circulated only briefly as inflation continued to increase and in a few weeks, the pieces were again worthless.

Interesting fact
The 10 Dollar coin from Zimbabwe, issued in 2003, has a unique feature that sets it apart from other coins. It has a built-in security feature called a "holographic stripe" that runs along the edge of the coin. When tilted at a certain angle, the stripe displays a holographic image of a zebra, which is a nod to Zimbabwe's national animal. This feature was incorporated to prevent counterfeiting and to ensure the authenticity of the coin.
