Comment
Isabella I was Queen of Castile from 1474 until her death in 1504, reigning over a dynastically unified Spain jointly with her husband, King Ferdinand II of Aragon. She was Queen of Aragon after Ferdinand II ascended to that throne in 1479. Together, Isabella and Ferdinand are known as the Catholic Monarchs.Interesting fact
The 10 Diners (Queen Isabella I) 1997 coin from Andorra is a unique piece, as it features a rare portrait of Queen Isabella I, the first queen of Spain, on the obverse side. This design was specifically created for the coin and is not found on any other currency or commemorative piece.
