Interesting fact
The 10 Chon (Gwang Mu) 11 (1907) coin was issued during the reign of Emperor Gojong, who was the 26th king of the Joseon Dynasty and the first emperor of the Korean Empire. The coin features the Korean inscription "광무 11년 10전" (Gwang Mu 11th year 10 Chon) on one side and the Chinese characters "大韩国" (Dahan Guk) on the other, which translates to "Great Han Country." This coin was minted during a time of great change in Korea, as the country was transitioning from a traditional Confucian society to a modern, Western-style nation.
