The 10 Centésimos 1936 coin from Uruguay was designed by renowned Uruguayan artist and sculptor, José Belloni. He was known for his work in various artistic mediums, including sculpture, painting, and numismatics. The coin's design features the bust of José Artigas, a national hero of Uruguay, on the obverse, and the coat of arms of Uruguay on the reverse. Belloni's design was chosen as the winner of a national competition held by the Central Bank of Uruguay to create a new coinage system for the country. The coin was minted in 1936 and was in circulation until 1948.
