Interesting fact
The Pattern 10 centimes coin was designed by French sculptor and engraver, Charles Dubois, and features a unique blend of aluminum and bronze. This coin was part of a series of experimental coins minted in the early 20th century to test the durability and feasibility of using aluminum bronze in coin production. The use of aluminum bronze was eventually discontinued due to its tendency to corrode, but the Pattern 10 centimes coin remains a rare and interesting collector's item.
