The Pattern 10 Centimes coin was designed by French artist and engraver, Lucien Bazor. Bazor was known for his work on various French coins and banknotes, and his design for the Pattern 10 Centimes features a stylized portrait of a young woman, representing the French Republic, on the obverse (front side), and a Gallic rooster on the reverse (back side). The coin's unique double-sided design was a result of a collaboration between Bazor and the French Mint, and it was only produced in a small quantity, making it a rare and sought-after collector's item.
