A rather rare assay, struck at the Brussels mint.Probst mentions two different types for this copper test. He differentiates them by the size of the escutcheon: large for L#335-2 and reduced for L#355-3. This is undeniable, but the differences between the two variants are far more numerous:

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 10 Centimes - Adolphe (Essai) 1889 from Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) made of Copper weighing 10.2g is that it features a unique design that was never adopted for circulation. The coin was minted as a pattern, or trial coin, and bears the image of Adolphe, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, on one side and the coat of arms of Luxembourg on the other.
