Interesting fact

The 10 Centavos coin from Venezuela, minted between 1874 and 1876, has an interesting feature. Despite being made of silver (.835), it was designed to be easily distinguishable from the 5 Centavos coin, which was made of copper-nickel. To achieve this, the 10 Centavos coin was minted with a unique shape, known as a "millesimal" or "thousandth-part" shape. This shape, which resembles a rounded triangle, was created by cutting the edges of the coin at a 45-degree angle, resulting in a distinctive and easily recognizable design.
