Interesting fact
The 10 Centavos coin from Portugal was designed by the artist José de Almada Negreiros, who was a prominent figure in the modernist movement in Portugal during the early 20th century. The coin features a portrait of the Portuguese king, Dom Manuel II, on one side, and an image of the coat of arms of Portugal on the other. Almada Negreiros' design was chosen through a competition held by the Portuguese government, and it was produced by the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda, the national mint of Portugal.
