The 10 Cash coin from the Empire of China, also known as the Kaiping Tongbao, was minted during the reign of Emperor Guangzong in the 10th century. It was made of bronze and had a unique square hole in the center, which was used to thread a string or cord through, allowing people to carry multiple coins together. This design feature was used on many Chinese coins during this period and was known as the "square-holed coin" or "Tongbao" in Chinese.
