In the centre of the disc against a background of a tatami – a scene of judo fight, around it – fragments of Japanese engravings showing different arts of combat: of samurais, judo and sumo fighters, to the left above – the portrait of the judo founder Jigoro Kano, lower – the inscription "JUDO" in Russian and in Japanese and the emblem of the judo school, to the right – a flowering branch of the Japanese cherry tree.
