Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 1 Werk - Haile Selassie I (Pattern) 1921 (1929) from Ethiopian Empire (Ethiopia) made of Gold is that it was designed by the Italian engraver and sculptor, Giuseppe Ajmone, who was commissioned by the Ethiopian government to create a new currency for the country. The coin features a portrait of Emperor Haile Selassie I on one side and the Ethiopian coat of arms on the other. It was minted in 1929, but was never widely circulated due to the political instability in the country at the time. As a result, the coin is now considered a rare and valuable collector's item.
