Comment
The Trần Cao rebellion in 1516-1521 is the best documented rebellion in Vietnam in the 16th century against the Lê Dynasty led by Trần Cảo (陳暠) and is regarded as the most important. It was the second rebellion led against the Le, following an uprising led by Tran Tuan in 1511 (from Wikipedia).Ref. Novak 137 / Allan Barker 43
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the Trần Cảo Rebellion, a period of political instability and dynastic conflict in Vietnamese history. Despite being a standard circulation coin, it is now considered a rare and valuable collector's item due to its historical significance and limited mintage.
