Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1 Thaler coin from the Marquisate of Saluzzo is that it features a unique combination of both the Latin and Italian languages on its inscription. The obverse side of the coin bears the Latin inscription "Ludovicus II Dei Gratia Marchio" (Ludovico II, by the grace of God, Marquis), while the reverse side features the Italian inscription "Margherita di Foix Marchesa" (Margherita di Foix, Marchesa). This blend of languages reflects the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Italian States during the 16th century.
