The obverse of the coin features an image of Leopold I, the Holy Roman Emperor, with a long beard and wearing a crown. The reverse of the coin features the coat of arms of Hungary, which includes a shield with the Árpád stripes, a symbol of the Hungarian kingdom. The coin was minted in 1662, during the reign of Leopold I, who ruled the Holy Roman Empire from 1658 to 1705.
