Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg, minted during the reign of John Frederick in 1675-1676, features an error in the inscription on the reverse side. The Latin inscription "D(ei) G(ratia) D(ux) S(acri) R(omani) I(mperii) A(rchicancellarius)" is misspelled as "D(ei) G(ratia) D(ux) S(acri) R(omani) I(mperii) A(rchicancellariu)". The misspelling of the word "Archicancellarius" with an additional "u" at the end is known as a "frequent mistake" in numismatics. This error makes the coin particularly interesting and valuable to collectors.
