Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover (German States) made of Silver, minted between 1745-1752 during the reign of George II, features an interesting design element. On the obverse side of the coin, there is an image of George II, while on the reverse side, there is an image of a crowned eagle holding a scepter and a shield with the coat of arms of the House of Hanover. This design was meant to symbolize the power and authority of the Hanoverian dynasty, which ruled the German States at the time.
