Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from the Electorate of Saxony, minted during the reign of Frederick August I (1706-1707), features an image of the Elector on the obverse side, while the reverse side bears the coat of arms of the Albertinian Line of the House of Wettin, to which Frederick August I belonged. This coin was made of silver, and its design was meant to symbolize the Elector's power and authority within the Holy Roman Empire.
