Edwige married Ulrich of Pomerania (1589-1622), bishop of Cammin, in 1619. The marriage lasted only three years and was childless. After her husband's death, she moved into her dower in Szczecinek, where she lived in the castle for 28 years. Edwige died of smallpox in 1650, at the age of 56. She was finally buried in the Pomeranian ducal crypt in Rügenwalde in 1654.Interesting fact
The coin features an intricate depiction of the entombment of Hedwig, the widow of Ulrich, on its obverse side.
