Comment

Bergtaler, minted from Westphalian fine silver, commemorates the renewal of the mines and the resumption of mining in Ramsbeck.

Made with a much finer silver than other thalers at the time which is the reason for the light weight.

Dav GT II# 2175A no mint official's initials and a shorter bust.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1 Thaler - Clemens August (Mining Thaler - Renewal of the Mines) 1759 coin from the Archbishopric of Cologne (German States) is that it was minted to commemorate the renewal of the mines in the region, which was a significant economic and industrial achievement at the time. The coin's design features an image of Clemens August, the Archbishop of Cologne, on one side, and an image of a miner with a pickaxe and a shield with the coat of arms of the Archbishopric on the other side. The coin's silver content and intricate design make it a valuable collector's item for numismatists and historians interested in the history of the German States.
