Interesting fact
The obverse side of the coin features an image of Christian, the ruling duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Celle, dressed in armor and holding a sword. The reverse side shows the coat of arms of the duchy, surrounded by the inscription "CHRISTIAN DUX BRVNSVICENSIS ET LVNEBVRGENSIS" (Christian, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg). The coin's design was created by the artist Johann Salomon Hocker, who was a prominent engraver and medalist of the time.
