Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, minted during the reign of August William (1716-1730), was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a ruler on both sides. This unique design feature was a result of the prince's desire to showcase his power and influence on both the obverse and reverse sides of the coin.
