Interesting fact

The 1 Thaler coin from the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, minted during the reign of Anthony Ulrich (1705-1711), was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a ruler on both sides. This unique design was known as the "double-headed eagle" and was meant to symbolize the dual nature of the principality's government, with Anthony Ulrich serving as both the secular and spiritual leader. This design was later adopted by other German states and became a popular feature on coins throughout Europe.
