Comment
Anna Sophia was Anton Günter's sister.Interesting fact
The Anthony Günter Thaler coin was minted in 1639 to commemorate the death of Anna Sophia, the wife of Count Anton Gunther of Oldenburg. The coin features an image of Anna Sophia on one side and the coat of arms of the County of Oldenburg on the other. It was made of silver and has a diameter of 40 mm. It's interesting to note that the coin was minted during a time of great turmoil in Europe, with the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) taking place during the same period. Despite this, the coin remains a valuable piece of numismatic history, with some examples selling for thousands of dollars at auction.
