Always dated 1553 but struck between 1553-66.Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from the Free Hanseatic city of Hamburg, minted in 1553, was made of silver and features a unique design. On one side, it depicts a portrait of Saint Peter, the patron saint of Hamburg, surrounded by the city's coat of arms and other symbols. The other side features the Hamburg coat of arms and the inscription "Hamburgische Thaler" (Hamburg Thaler). This coin was used as a standard circulation coin in Hamburg and other German states during the 16th century.
