One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Sikandar Shah, who was the last ruler of the Sultanate of Bengal and was known for his efforts to consolidate the Muslim states of the Indian subcontinent. Despite his efforts, the Sultanate of Bengal was eventually absorbed into the Mughal Empire in 1576.
