With this being struck in Astarabad, it would have belonged to the Taghaytimurids; however, it is uncertain if this is an issue of Pir Padishah ibn Luqman Padishah (whose reign started in AH 790), or if there was some time between Pir Padishah's crowning and the previous ruler's death, for which this coin could have been struck during.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Tanka coin from the Taghaytimurid dynasty is that it features a unique blend of Mongolian and Islamic influences in its design. The coin's obverse side features a stylized representation of a Mongolian horseman, while the reverse side bears an inscription in Arabic script that reads "al-sultanu al-azam" or "the great king." This fusion of cultural elements reflects the complex history of the Mongol Empire and its interactions with the Islamic world during the 14th century.
