Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1 Tangka (Presentation Tangka; gold) ND (1910) from Tibet (China) made of Gold weighing 5.12 g is that it features a unique blend of Tibetan and Chinese design elements. The coin's obverse features a portrait of the 13th Dalai Lama, while the reverse features a traditional Tibetan design of a wheel and a lotus flower, surrounded by Chinese characters that read "Tibetan Government Issued Currency." This blend of designs reflects the complex political and cultural relationship between Tibet and China during the early 20th century.
