Interesting fact

The 1 Tambala coin was introduced in 1984 as a replacement for the 10 tambala note, which was demonetized due to high inflation. The coin was made of copper-plated steel and had a magnetic core, which made it easily distinguishable from other coins in circulation. The coin was used for over a decade before it was eventually phased out in 1994.
