Floriated cross with lis at end of each limb and rose on sun in centre, crowned lion passant left in angles, all within tressure of eight arches with trefoils in spandrels.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Spur-ryal coin is that it was issued during the reign of King James I, who was also known for his strong support of the Church of England and his commissioning of a new translation of the Bible, known as the King James Version.
