One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a rare depiction of Queen Victoria's "Young Head" portrait, which was originally designed by William Wyon and first appeared on the 1837 Gold Sovereign. This portrait was chosen for the 2019 Alderney coin as a way to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth.
