The Proof strike of this coin features a special George III royal cypher privy mark, which is not present on the bullion issue.This sovereign was issued in a 5-coin set (issue limit 500), in a 4-coin set (issue limit 600) and in a 3-coin set (issue limit 750), individually in proof (issue limit 7,995) and in Matt Brilliant Uncirculated (issue limit 12,000) Sales figures for this issue are as yet not published.

Since 2009 the full sovereign has omitted the streamer from the helmet of St George however the other sovereign denominations continue to have the streamer.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the accession of King George III, who ruled the United Kingdom from 1760 to 1820. The coin's design features a special effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, created specifically for this issue, and includes elements that pay tribute to King George III's reign, such as a cameo of him and a depiction of the Crown Jewels.
