Three Strike on the Day issues were released in 2020, this being the second to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day on 8th May. This strike was in Matt Brilliant Uncirculated quality with a plain edge and VE75 as a privy mark (issue limit 750). The first was to commemorate Britain's exit from the European Union, while the third was the 75th Anniversary of VJ day, both are listed separately as they featured different privy marks.© The Royal Mint, 2020
Other gold sovereign issues for 2020 included standard bullion strikes with no privy mark, a Delhi, India bullion strike with an 'I' privy mark and a proof strike featuring a George III 'GR' privy mark (see links below).
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which marks the end of World War II in Europe. The coin's design features a special 5th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and the mintage was limited to only 5,000 coins, making it a rare and collectible item.
