Issued with the fifth portrait from 2nd March 2015, prior strikes were of the fourth portrait. The 2015 fifth portrait strike was issued as part of a 5-coin Sovereign Proof set (598 sales, issue limit 600), a 3-coin Sovereign Proof set (448 sales, issue limit 500), and individually in proof (7,494 sales, issue limit 7,500).

There were two Strike on the Day issues in 2015, only the second features this fifth portrait and was issued to commemorate the second birthday of Prince George on 22nd July (301 sales, issue limit 400). All Strike on the Day issues were in Brilliant Uncirculated standard.

The 2016 strike was issued in Brilliant Uncirculated and Bullion while the proof issue featured the Butler portrait. There was also a Strike on the Day issue in 2016 to commemorate the Queens 90th Birthday on 11th June (499 sales, issue limit 500).

The 2017 standard type design was limited to two Strike on the Day issues, due to the Proof issue featuring the Garter design. The first Strike on the day was to commemorate the Queens Sapphire Jubilee on 6th February (739 sales, issue limit 750). The second was to commemorate the Queens Platinum Wedding Anniversary on 20th November (745 sales, issue limit 750).

The 2018 strike was only issued in Bullion, due to the Proof issue featuring a '65' privy mark to commemorate the Queen's Sapphire Jubilee. Two Strike on the Day issues were released in 2018. The first was to commemorate the Queens Sapphire Coronation, this is listed separately as it featured a special privy mark. The second was to commemorate Prince George's fifth birthday on 22nd July (485 sales, issue limit 750). This issue featured a plain edge.

The 2019 strike was issued as part of a 5-coin Sovereign Proof set (618 sales, issue limit: 750), a 4-coin Sovereign Proof set (299 sales, issue limit 300), a 3-coin Premium Sovereign Proof set (346 sales, issue limit 450), a 3-coin Standard Sovereign Proof set (840 sales, issue limit 1,000), individually in proof (9,538 sales, issue limit: 10,500), individually in bullion and as Brilliant Uncirculated with a matt effect for the first time, the coin was issued in a variety of packaging. The design was also issued in piedfort.

The 2020 strike was only issued in Bullion, due to the proof issue featuring the George III privy mark, while the 2021 strike was also only issued in Bullion, due to the proof issue featuring the '95' privy mark to commemorate the Queen's 95th Birthday.
