One interesting fact about the 1749 Maria Theresa (Large flan) coin is that it was minted during a time when the Austrian Netherlands (now Belgium) was under the rule of the Habsburg Monarchy, and the coin features an image of Empress Maria Theresa on one side and the Imperial Eagle on the other. Despite being minted over 250 years ago, many of these coins have survived and are highly sought after by collectors today.
