Interesting fact
The 1 Soldo coin from the Duchy of Mantua, issued during the reign of Maria Theresia (1750-1757), features an interesting design element - a small hole in the center of the coin. This hole was intentionally added to the coin to make it easier for people to thread the coins onto a string or cord, allowing them to be worn around the neck or attached to clothing. This design feature was common in coins of that era and was known as a "holey dollar."
