Mintmaster initials, under star: C, D, F, M, P, Z.It was typical for these to have been clipped in antiquity, not only for the silver but to remove any Christian symbolism as trade with the Ottomans was common.
Interesting fact
The 1 Soldino coin from the Republic of Venice, made of silver and weighing 0.46g, is interesting because it was used as a form of currency during the reign of Michele Steno, who was the Doge of Venice from 1400 to 1413. The coin's design features the image of St. Mark, the patron saint of Venice, on one side, and the Doge's name and title on the other. This coin was an important part of the Venetian economy during the Renaissance period and is now a valuable collector's item for numismatists.
