Leonardo Loredan (or Loredano) (November 16, 1436 – June 21, 1521) of the Loredan family was the doge of the Republic of Venice from 1501 until his death, in the course of the War of the League of Cambrai.

Interesting fact

The 1 Soldino coin from the Republic of Venice features an image of Leonardo Loredan, the Doge of Venice from 1501 to 1518. The coin was minted during his reign, and it's believed that the portrait of Loredan on the coin was based on a famous painting of him by the Italian artist, Giovanni Bellini.
