Interesting fact
The 1 Skilling coin was used as a means of payment in Norway during the reign of King Christian II (1513-1523). It was made of silver and had a unique design, featuring the king's crowned bust on one side and a cross on the other. The coin was minted in the city of Oslo (then known as Christiania) and was used throughout the country for everyday transactions. Despite its age, some of these coins are still in circulation among collectors today, making them a valuable piece of Norwegian history.
