Comment

This coin was plan to issued by Republic of Somalia as the “Set of African Oryxes” coloured circulating commenmorative coins during 2002.

But the set of coloured coins got seriously error as “Coloured paint is very easily to peel off”.

Then Somalia cancelled to issue these coins until the chaos civil war began soon, the warlords found them and release them into numista's markets in global site.

Interesting fact

The 1 Shilling (Wild Nature) 2002 coin from Somalia features a unique design that showcases the country's rich wildlife. The coin's obverse side features a portrait of a majestic lion, while the reverse side depicts a graceful giraffe in its natural habitat.
