Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Shilling - Anne (2nd bust) coin is that it was minted during a time of great change in England. Queen Anne, who ruled from 1702 to 1714, was the last monarch of the House of Stuart and the last British monarch to be crowned in Westminster Abbey. During her reign, the Acts of Union were passed, which united England and Scotland under the name of Great Britain. Additionally, the coin was minted using silver that was obtained from the New World, specifically from the mines in Peru and Mexico, which were controlled by the Spanish Empire at the time.
