Comment

This is Type II of the scudo coins minted during the Popular government of Bologna (1796 - 1797)
Is different from Type I (km#339 with a larger Madonna and a different city view without the hill and the tree) and Type III (km#341 without laurel wreath on obverse and date in roman numerals; city view similar to Type II)

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a tree on its reverse side, which was a symbol of liberty and freedom during the Revolutionary era. The inclusion of this symbol on the coin highlights the revolutionary spirit and ideals of the Cispadane Republic, which was a short-lived state that emerged during the French Revolutionary Wars.
