Interesting fact
The 1 Schilling coin from the Free Imperial City of Nuremberg, minted between 1457 and 1459, features an image of the city's patron saint, St. Sebald, on its obverse side. St. Sebald was a 12th-century hermit who lived in a cell near the city and was known for his piety and healing powers. He became the patron saint of Nuremberg in the 14th century, and his image appeared on many coins minted by the city during that time.
