Comment
There is some confusion about this type. While the legend states Johannes's name, which Johannes that is is not fully agreed upon. Fedorov places the type with one dot under Johannes VI Bey (1528-1543), while also mentioning a type for Johannes IV Duesborg (1513-1514) with no mention of how that type looks. Because all Johannes VI Bey's other coins have his three Zs on them, and because the four lone dots resemble a Johannes IV Duesborg pfennig piece, this piece was probably struck for Johannes IV Duesborg.Interesting fact
The 1 Schilling coin from the Bishopric of Dorpat (Livonian Confederation) features an image of Johannes IV Duesborg, the Bishop of Dorpat, on one side, and a coat of arms on the other.
