These anonymous schillings and the ones that can be narrowed down to Zisse von Rutenberg's reign (1424-1433) look very similar. The difference is the amount of dots beneath the shield on the obverse.Different sources list different date-ranges for these anonymous schillings, including 1422-1470, 1424-1483, 1430-1465, 1434-1450, and 1434-1455. Even so, the most probable date-range starts at Zisse von Rutenberg's reign (1424), and ends at the start of Bernd von der Borch's reign (1471), whose schillings were not anonymous.

The Livonian Order, which issued the 1 Schilling coin, was a military order of German knights who played a significant role in the history of the region now known as Estonia and Latvia.
