Interesting fact
The Sher Shah Suri rupee, which was issued during the Sur Empire (Indian Sultanates) period, was one of the first coins to feature the image of a ruler, in this case, Sher Shah Suri. This was a departure from the earlier coins that featured abstract designs or religious symbols. This coin also had a unique feature of having a square shape with rounded corners, which was different from the traditional round shape of coins.
